Church Landscaping Volunteer Opportunity
We will be meeting again this Saturday, June 28th, at
9 a.m. to continue working on the new landscaping on the church property. Please join us if you are able – many hands make light work!
Serving Opportunity at St. Andrews -
June 29 – July 5.
Our next opportunity to serve at the Hugo Family Shelter is coming up quickly! What do they need? Meals, overnight sleepers, snack items, and HE laundry soap. New Life sponsors the laundry room which has a front-loading washer, (reason for HE soap). It doesn't cost any more, just need to look for the HE on the label.
This community service is entirely funded through gifts and service. No tax dollars go to help the people in need to make the transition to safe and affordable housing. Families often stay for a few months or longer to ensure they can support themselves and secure a safe housing situation. I think of these folks when I hear Jesus speak of those who are thirsty, hungry and without hope. In Jesus, through Jesus we can speak hope into their lives. Please consider taking a few hours this year to help out. It's simple, it's fun, you can even serve in your sleep!

Collection for Families in Need - PIT Stop
The Summer PIT Stop is an event sponsored by Washington County to provide resources and services to families in need. We will partner with them to provide assistance to the families and children around us. The items we will collect include diapers (pull-ups and sizes 4-6), Holiday gas cards, gift cards to Cub Foods or Aldi, feminine products, tampons, baby bottles, and baby wipes. Items can be placed in the container near the church kitchen on or before July 13. Thank you for showing Christ’s love as we help these families in need!
Blood Drive at New Life New Life
July 24th from 12:30 - 6:30 pm.

National Night Out :August 5, 6 - 8 p.m
2nd Annual Community Night Out at New Life . Bounce house, popcorn, root beer floats and games for all. Volunteers will be needed. Watch for more information and sign-up sheets. Spread the word!

“Changing Weather”
One of the joys of living in Minnesota is our four distinct seasons. I like to joke that once we start getting tired of a season, it changes and we get a new one! We are familiar with how the weather keeps fluctuating. While our unpredictable weather can complicate our outdoor plans, it is also a vivid reminder that we are not in control. While our weather may seem random at times from our point of view, there is thankfully Someone who is in charge: God! After the Great Flood, God told Noah, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Genesis 8:22) God is faithfully in charge of everything, including the weather. Even when unpleasant weather or storms come our way, our God continues to be faithful and right by our side through it all!
